Our Coaches
Ben has over 25 years of coaching experience and coaches students of all ages and skill levels for both competitive and recreational skating. A US Figure Skating gold medalist in moves in the field and a former Sectional competitor in ice dancing, Ben has coached many students to become gold medalists themselves. The highest tests passed by his students are Gold Skating Skills, Gold Singles, Gold Dance, Gold Solo Free Dance, Adult Gold Skating Skills and Adult Gold Singles. In addition to coaching figure skating, Ben also coaches hockey players of all levels to improve their speed and edge control. Ben holds a BA in Philosophy and Classical Languages from Asbury College and an MA in Philosophy from the University of Kentucky. He teaches skating skills, free skating, partnered and solo ice dancing, stroking and power skating, and basic skills.
Emily Manning has achieved United States Figure Skating Novice Moves in the Field, Adult Gold Moves In the Field, Juvenile Freestyle, and Pre Silver Ice Dancing. She has competed at regionals and has 12 years of competitive skating experience. Emily is a member of the Professional Skaters Association and United States Figure Skating. Her coaching specialties are choreography, freestyle jumps and spins, basic skills, as well as off ice jump conditioning and strength training and is CPR certified. She also instructs hockey power skating and technique. From competitive skating to recreational, she believes in creating a strong foundation for skaters of all levels and ages that fosters growth in every area of the sport.
Kasey Reynolds has achieved junior Moves in The Field 21+, Adult Gold Moves in The Field, Adult Gold Free Skate and Bronze Ice Dance. She is a member of U.S. Figure Skating, and she enjoys working with skaters of all ages on freestyle, moves in the field, and basic skating skill. She especially enjoys working with younger skaters to help them get started and grow in the sport.
Katherine has completed Adult Silver Moves in the Field, Adult Bronze Freestyle and Pre-Bronze Dance through US Figure Skating. She has over 20 years of skating experience and over 15 years of coaching experience. Knowing that it's never too early or too late to find joy in skating, Katherine has worked with recreational skaters and beginning competitive skaters of all ages from preschoolers to adults. Katherine teaches free skate, moves in the field, and basic skills. She especially enjoys working with students on spins, footwork, and showcase programs. Katherine earned her B.A. from Furman University in Communication Studies. She previously worked as a Pre-K Assistant at Sayre School, has worked as a substitute teacher and has experience doing respite care for children with special needs.

Over 25 years coaching experience in both United States Figure Skating and Ice Skating Institute standards. Specializes in Basic Skills through advanced Freestyle Jumps and Spins, Choreography, Moves in the Field, Power Stroking, Artistry, and Off-Ice Conditioning with an emphasis on Posture and Alignment.
